Welcome!

The purpose of this site is twofold. First, I want to document the from-scratch creation of a Witch's book of rituals and spells - the Book of Shadows. Over the years I've had numerous such books, and have always felt a periodic need to re-do them. I can't help it - I have a strong creative streak.

Second, I want to provide a resource for other Witches and Wiccans who are working to create their own Books. There are many web pages about creating your BOS, but I have yet to find a full-blown site that is regularly updated and specifically about this topic. The pages that do exist always give the same advice: get a binder or a bound book, decide what you want to put into it, put it in, embellish however you want because it's your book and you can do it however you like.

Not to knock that good advice, but I find it a bit bland. I want ideas. I want eye candy! I want to see what other Witches and Wiccans have done in their books. Don't you? I want a book of a certain look and feel and I know I am not alone!

I propose that the creation of a Book of Shadows is an act of magick in and of itself, and should you feel the urge to go all-out crazy doing it, you should consider that urge to be coming directly from deity.
